Tree time.

Last night we put up our Christmas tree.
This is the first year, in all the years I lived outside of my parent's home, that I have my very own tree!
The girls were very excited to help with the decorations.
Notice how Maylyn's are all grouped together.  :)  It's about all she could reach.

Kaeleigh did a little better at spacing hers out.

Here it is, all lit up!

I've got to find a tree skirt, but I'm so excited to get ornaments for the kids and keep up the tradition my mom started for my siblings and I over the years.

Tatts.

Maylyn has asked me when she'll be able to get a tattoo.
I told her, "When you're 18."
Today she came home from grandma's house with this:

I told her just how cute it was.
To which she replied, "I have a tattoo and I'm 4!"
I don't know how I'm going to make it through the teenage years...

Where ya been?

Things have been a little crazy around here so forgive me for not posting.
Our water heater broke and flooded the garage.
The computer decided it hates us and stopped working. (I'm waiting for it to die as I type)

Kaeleigh got sick. It may or may not be H1N1. I'll know in about 24 hours when the test results come back. But in the meantime, she has to be quarantined until she's fever free for 24 hours. As of this morning, she's still running a slight fever. And that's keeping her little sister over at grandma's house. (Thanks mom and dad!)
But despite all of the craziness we had a really great Thanksgiving.
My aunt hosted Thanksgiving at her new house. Her husband Greg does the cooking and it was amazing! I love having potato options. I really should have taken pictures of the food, but I was too busy eating it. Our day was filled with food, football, and Friends Scene It. (You're on for a rematch Sara.)
Here's a few pictures from our holiday:

Ha! That last picture cracks me up. Maylyn was mad that I wouldn't let her stand right in the middle of the football game. I took 160 pictures, be thankful I didn't post them all. :) Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! We're working on getting well over here.
Did you know, that it's only 26 days til Christmas? :-)

Party time.

Kaeleigh's birthday party on Sunday was a success!
We had it at Dobson Ranch Park. It was such a great spot and the weather was perfect. Slightly chilly when the wind picked up, but otherwise perfect.

Thanks everyone!Kaeleigh chatting it up with her friend Macee.(See what I mean about great spot? Right by the lake and the playground.)Even baby Aden came! Kaeleigh.

Today my first born is 6 years old!
Six years ago I spent 30 hours in labor. Pushed for 2 hours, and ended up having a c-section. Kaeleigh was born at 1:02pm.
I put together this mosaic of some of my favorite pictures of her.
Happy Birthday Kaeleigh!!
Love, Mom
(Today she woke up early. I commented on how early it was and she replied, "I was reminded it was my birthday...by my brain." Love this little girl.)

Dressy.

Yesterday Bill and I, along with the kids, took advantage of a sale at JC Penney and bought Christmas dresses for the girls!
Here's the dress that Kaeleigh picked. (We just had to have a fashion show when we got home.) And here's Maylyn's pick... We're going with a black, red, and white theme this year. (also my wedding colors)
I'm gonna try to find some coordinating outfits for Bill and I, and maybe do family picture that we can mail out with Christmas cards. I figure I better get started now because Christmas will be here before you know it! (Seriously, is it really November already?)

Halloween.

Kaeleigh and Maylyn were so excited about their Halloween costumes! Kaeleigh was Bo Peep and Maylyn was Jessie, both from the Toy Story movies.I made Kaeleigh's staff and bonnet. And then I added orange yarn to Maylyn's hat so she looked just like Jessie!Going trick or treating with their Auntie!
All of us dressed up. Me as a bee, my aunt as a cow girl, Bill was The Joker, my sis was in faux military gear, and the kids looking cute as can be!
Hope everyone had a fun night! The kids cleaned up in the candy department!
