Have you ever noticed just how slow time c r a w l s when you're looking forward to something?
This has been one LONG week. Full of pluses and minuses.
Plus. Kaeleigh started her AKAG program. My little girl just loves school. She comes home everyday just raving about what she did. And I got a phone call on Thursday from the AKAG director telling me that Kaeleigh had been chosen as Student of the Week! How cool is that?!
Minus. Maylyn is on a tear this week! I tell her to stop doing something, 5 minutes later she's doing it again. Repeat all day long. I like to blame her behavior on her father, he never listened to me either.
Minus. Our puppy Jake, that we've had less than 2 weeks, started acting strange. Didn't want to eat or drink. Threw up. Diarrhea. Just laying around all day. So I took him to the vet and it turns out he has coccidia. It only cost $187 to find out. Poor baby. The medicines seem to be helping though.
Plus. I have an amazing fiance. I seriously would have lost my sanity this week without him.
Only one more week to get through and then its my birthday!
And although birthdays kinda go downhill
as you get older, it's still nice to have a one special day.
27 is no big whoop. Woo hoo, I'm almost 30! Pfft.
I've got my baby-sitter (aka my mom) lined up for that evening.
So...what to do?
Maybe see a Dbacks game?
Go to dinner?
See a new movie?
Oh, the possibilities that open up when you're childless for an evening.
All you moms out there know what I'm talking about.
This is what I'd like to have happen on my birthday:
1. Take a shower that's longer than five minutes.
2. Take the time to shave my legs. (TMI?)
3. Actually put on make-up!
4. Mani/pedi? Perhaps.
5. Starbucks. Definitely.
6. Eat a meal I didn't have to cook. (Or clean up after!)
7. Spend quality time with my honey. ;)
We'll see what happens...
Here's something I found very cute, just to end things on a high note.
