Today the kids and I, along with my friend Christene and her two kiddos, paid a visit too the Arizona Museum of Natural History. Formally known as the Mesa Southwest Museum.
I hadn't been there since elementary school and the only memory I had was panning for gold. Well, they still have that! It costs $10 for adults and $6 for kids. It was a really good way to kill a couple hours indoors. I, of course, forgot my camera so I'll have to post pics after Christene emails me hers but I did get this one with my camera phone.
The kids stood in front of a blue screen and were on "TV." It was way too funny. They also went to "jail" which was hilarious. Kaeleigh refused to go into the cells. We also saw a live alligator and a snapping turtle. Their gift shop has a Memory Pack which includes a map of AZ where dinosaurs are found, a pencil, some colorful rocks, stickers, and a small dino toy for only $1! It was perfect for the kids. Very cool way to spend the morning.
