Bill unearthed some vitamin things (don't ask me what they were) and the expiration date on them...July of 2000!! We have a winner folks!

Can't do it.

I just can't give up my coffee. It lasted one day. I broke down and bought a coffee yesterday. I think I might just try to slowly cut back, rather than going cold turkey....We'll see.

Caffeine Withdrawal.

I gave up my Starbucks today.

And so far I haven't killed anyone. That's definitely saying something. 1 day down, 39 to go.

Motivate me.

I am getting married in 137 days. Sounds like a lot, huh? Not when you want to lose weight and you just can't stop drinking the Starbucks. My honey took this VERY flattering picture of me last week. (thanks honey)HORRIBLE!! No one should be allowed to take pictures from behind! I weighed myself this morning and just about passed out at the number. I can't even say it...but it's a LOT! The only time I've been heavier than this is when I was prego and then I had an excuse to be huge.

So my blogging friends, I need motivation. You'd think my wedding would be enough. I have a man who loves me exactly as I am and that's amazing. But I want to feel amazing in my own skin. And right now, I don't even like to see myself in just my birthday suit.

Next week is the start of Lent. I may not go to church anymore but I'm gonna get on board, and give something up for Lent. I've decided to give up my precious Starbucks. (tear, sniffle) I can do it. But I'll need some encouragement on those days when I'm really jonesing for coffee. Please send many positive, encouraging thoughts my way. I'll need it. And if you have any ideas to get me moving and motivated, send those too. I'm all ears!

I wasn't expecting any gifts for Valentine's Day. I mean hello, engagement ring? That's gift enough. Imagine my surprise when Bill came home from work with these:

Someone kill me.

Kaeleigh has another ear infection. She just stopped taking her last antibiotic on Sunday. The same ear is infected, just worse. Time for stronger meds. Ugh!

This morning, my car looked like this:

I generally walk out of the house at 7:20, spend 5 minutes warming up the car for the kiddos and drive away to take Kaeleigh to school at 7:25. This morning at 7:25 I was still doing this:Except I wasn't using the handy little scraper you see in this pic...I was using the first thing I found in the garage: Oh, that's right! I used my children's play mop. It worked surprisingly well. In my own defense, I live in Arizona, I don't know what to do with frost or (gasp) snow. The kids found it pretty hilarious that I was "mopping" the car. I'm pretty resourceful. :)

This week's favs...

When I first heard about these I thought, "Gross! Mac & Cheese Crackers??" And then I proceeded to throw up in my mouth a little bit. But the kids had them at a friends house and loved them so I picked them up.

I will taste anything once. And now my friends, I snack on these more than the kids! Seriously, if you like cheese crackers of any kind you'll like these.

I know exactly how to order my drink in Starbucks lingo also. (Triple Venti Soy No Whip White Mocha) It's gotten so bad that one day, when I ordered in the lingo, the cashier asked me if I was a Starbucks employee!

We finally finished the girl's names for their room. It helps immensely that my husband-to-be is the manager at Michaels and gets a discount! Score!

Unofficially Engaged!

What does that mean?

Well, Bill wanted to be all romantic and propose officially on Valentine's Day BUT, he also wanted me to try the ring on to make sure he didn't need to get it resized. And once I tried it on I told him I didn't want to give it back! But he made me.

Alas, I am a very persuasive woman and I talked him into giving it to me. Yay! He said he'll need it back for Valentine's Day to propose OFFICIALLY the way he originally intended. But in the meantime, I am unofficially engaged!!

Kids = Germs

Kaeleigh came home from school the other day and told me and a kid in her class kept coughing on all of them.

Kaeleigh: "Mom, Payson kept coughing today and not covering his mouth."

Me: "That's gross. What did your teacher do?"

Kaeleigh: "She told him to stop. But he didn't."

Me: "Greeaat!"

Two days later...Kaeleigh has an ear infection and Maylyn sounds like she's getting Croup. Bah!

By the way, I hate taking them to the doctor's office. That place is a germ haven!



So, if anyone is awake around 1am call me; I'll be awake with sick kids.
