Birthdays and biopsies.

We've been super busy around here.
Here's what we've been up to the last couple days...

Thursday was Maylyn's last day of swim lessons for June.
She and Kaeleigh will take a session together next month.
Maylyn did awesome!
She was floating on her back by herself for a few seconds.
Friday we had a lunchtime play date with two of Maylyn's friends from Pre-K.
Aren't they cute?  They have so much fun together.
Later Friday evening we had a birthday party for one of my birthday twins.
Easton turned five!  He and I share the same birthday.
My flash stopped working but it still turned out cute.
Saturday we started the day on one of Maylyn's birthday presents.
They haven't quite mastered the slip and slide yet but they did way better than two summers ago.
Apparently they make patch kits for these pools so instead of returning the one Jake popped, we now have two pools to choose from.
Our Saturday continued with a trip to the Chandler library.
Both girls got library cards and got to check out books!
Kaeleigh picked out books on Australia, naturally.
Saturday evening was spent swimming and having dinner with our friends John and Carrie and their kids.
John is my second birthday twin.
The adults had an amazing surf and turf dinner of steak and lobster tails.
The kids had pizza.  :)

Sunday was my birthday.
I'm 28 now!
The girls woke me up to open my present.
Don't you love taking pictures first thing in the morning in jammies with crazy bed head?
They sang 'Happy Birthday' to me complete with cha cha cha's.
Then the Husband and I spent the afternoon at a Dbacks game, tickets courtesy of one of my friends.  His wife is a bloggy friend of mine.  You should check her out here.  :)
This is my favorite Dback and boyfriend on the team.  Conor Jackson.
Random fact, his dad played Admiral A.J. Chegwidden on Jag.
We saw local celebrity Sparky at the game.
My girls LOVE ASU and Sparky.
The Husband and I at the game.
Such a great birthay weekend!

And then Monday rolled around...
If you're a frequent reader here then you know that I've been dealing with some health stuff for awhile.  The next step in trying to diagnose what's going on with me was an EGD or Esophagogastroduodenoscopy.  I'll stick with EGD.  It's easier to type.  :)
My dad went with me because I was put under anesthesia and wasn't going to be able to drive anywhere for the rest of the day.
I couldn't have anything to eat or drink after midnight and my procedure wasn't until 12:30 on Monday so I was starving!    They did a biopsy of part of my stomach while they were in there but I really don't remember anything from the procedure.  Drugs will do that to you.  I spent the rest of the day feeling like I'd been run over by a truck.  My throat was killing me (still is today) and I was so tired.  They said that everything looked pretty good in there and they gave me some nice pictures of the inside of my esophagus and stomach.  So we'll just have to see what we see...
