I've had a sick little girl on my hands.
(Beware, vomit talk below.)
Thursday morning Maylyn said that her throat hurt.
By lunchtime, her head hurt.
So I gave her some children's Ibuprofen and had her lay down which seemed to help a little.
Couple hours later we decided to run a couple of errands. Big mistake.
Maylyn started to get that Look.
That "I'm getting ready to blow chunks" Look.
We had just walked into a store when I bent down to ask her if she was feeling ok.
Me: "Are you going to throw up?"
Maylyn: "Yes" (proceeds to vomit right then and there.)
I take her straight out of the store so she can finish throwing up outside in the parking lot, rather than inside for some poor employee to clean up.
The Husband cleaned up what ended up on the floor of the store.
Needless to say, we didn't end up doing any shopping.
Straight home we went, where Maylyn continued to be sick and started running a fever.
It was a very long night.
Friday morning rolled around and we made a trip to Urgent Care where I noticed she had a rash starting on her upper body.
The doctor took one look at her and knew she had strep throat.
I had no idea that strep throat presented with a rash, but apparently that's really common in children. Oh, the things you learn once you have kids.
I tried taking a picture after I gave her a bath yesterday. You can kind of see the rash. She basically looks like she has a sunburn and tiny hives combined.
Poor baby, I felt so bad for her.
She and I spent the last two nights sleeping on the couches in the living room.
Doesn't she look comfortable?
Today she seems to be better.
Antibiotics are amazing!
I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the rest of us stay healthy.
The first picture is mini me.
